6 Camel Coats to try this autumn/winter

6 camel coats to wear this autumn and winter

I’ve been obsessed with camel coats since about this time last year, when I realised that one good quality camel coat would allow me to drastically reduce my outerwear collection (Which currently takes up an entire closet, all on its own. I know, I know…), without making any harder for me to get dressed every autumn/winter. Well, camel coats are classics for a good reason, folks: like trench coats, they’re one of those “must have” items that really ARE a “must have” for me – and this year I’m convinced I MUST HAVE one.

(Well, a new one, anyway: I do actually have a camel peacoat, which I still love, but I’d like a longer-length version, too, to go over those outfits my peacoat just doesn’t work with.)

Fortunately for me, this year the fashion world seems to share my obsession with camel coats, and there are already quite a few of them available to buy on the high street. My own preference here is for the super-simple styles which you know you’ll be wearing for years to come, so that’s what I’ve focused on in this roundup. I still haven’t narrowed down my final choice, but at least there are plenty of camel coats out there to choose from right now, so hopefully at least a few of these will still be available when I’m ready to buy!

Oh, and for those of you who DON’T love the so-called wardrobe “classics”, stay tuned: there are plenty of other outerwear options around for this winter, and I’ll have some of them for you to take a look at very soon!
