Versus by Versace high heeled blue suede knee boots, £522.29
My search for beautiful winter boots continues, and today it’s led me to these navy blue heeled knee boots by Versace. Now, I’ve mentioned a few times that navy is one of my neutrals, especially in the winter, when I find it makes a slightly more flattering alternative to black, when worn next to my pale skin. While I have a couple of pairs of navy shoes, however, I don’t yet own any boots in this shade, which is why these ones attracted my attention.
That’s not the only reason, though. I also think the contrast of leather and suede here is really stunning, and although it’s an uncomplicated design, it really helps make these look extra special – as does the asymmetric cut of the leg opening.
As for the big question when it comes to knee boots: what about the calf width? Well, these have a 32cm circumference, which is one of the smaller calf sizes you tend to find in boots, which means they will be perfect for those who deal with the dreaded “wellies effect” in boots, but might be best avoided if you’re looking for a wider fit.
Beautiful, but I’m not so sure about the asymmetry. I had a pair of boots like that and I really didn’t like that feature. I’d be curious though to see them worn by somebody.
Love the colour.
