Ted Baker Azeline bow-detail satin court shoes
So, I’m pretty sure Ted Baker’s ‘Azeline’ pumps are the prettiest shoes on the high street right now: in fact, they take me right back to the glory days of the same brand’s ‘Keanah’ pumps – remember those? I loved them so much I bought them in two different colours, and I would have bought more, had they not sold out in my size. Damn, I miss those days. I was actually just thinking about this last week: not only about how high street shoes aren’t nearly as good as they used to be (I’m not talking about quality here so much as creativity: there used to be so many different styles out there, but these days if I see something interesting, it’s almost guaranteed to be a high-end designer brand which I can’t afford…), but about how different fashion blogging is, too. Back in the ‘Keanah’ days, bloggers used to take daily outfit photos, featuring such a wide variety of different looks and styles, all shot in their own homes, or nearby. Now every post looks like a professional fashion shoot, and most of the daily outfit shots have moved to Instagram, which isn’t quite the same, somehow.
Don’t get me wrong, I still love blogging (and shoes!), and I totally get why it is the way it is these days – it’s only natural, when you’ve been doings something for a while, to want to get better at it – but yeah: I still sometimes miss the days when blogs were a little more real, and shoes had great big puffy bows on the fronts. Which brings me back to Azeline here, who is, as I said, surely the prettiest shoe on the high street right now. She’s available in no less than 13 different colours/uppers, and although the pale blue shown above would probably be my first choice, I seriously want them ALL.
Which would you go for?
OMG did you see the Rose Gold version? Holy Moly those are to die for!
Beautiful pair of shoes.
