I’ve featured Taylor Says before, and really like the brand’s bold, playful designs, many of which feature spots or stripes: two of my very favourite prints!

These particular shoes also feature bows (another favourite), and will probably be a familiar shape to many of you: Carven released a very similarly shaped shoe last year, as did Mellow Yellow.  These are a little different, partly because of the sharp, pointed toe, and partly because of the stripey upper, which also comes in pink. These, like many Taylor Says designs, are such a bold print that they may be a little too much for some tastes, but I really like the stripes, and they’re definitely the kind of shoes that’ll turn heads, that’s for sure. The stripes also give them a bit of a nautical feel, which will work well with so many similarly themed spring items. Oh, and don’t you just love the Eiffel Tower print on the sole? Such a unique touch!

What to wear with blue and white stripe shoes?

This is the kind of print which I think works best if it’s the centrepiece of the outfit, so I’ve gone for a simple jeans n’ t-shirt look for these. I’ve picked up the “Paris” theme from the sole with the print on the t-shirt, and stuck to the classic nautical colour scheme of red, white and blue:

What to wear with blue and white stripe shoes:

jeans // t-shirt // blazer // bag

This is a very basic outfit, and very typical of the kind of casual look I go for at this time of year, but the bright colours of the shoes and bag make it a little more interesting. These are the kind of shoes that will do that for pretty much anything you wear with them, which is why I think “basic” is probably a good idea in this case!

  • Oh my, now there’s a sight for sore eyes! I just wish they had a round toe though, but I love the print and that Eiffel tower is just the cutest!

  • First, when I only saw the first image on the homwpage, I was like “they’re okay, cute upper and I like the little blue bow but I wouldn’t actually buy them” and then I noticed Daisy’s comment and was like “what Eiffel tower?!” and then I clicked on the post and now I’m all “I need them! I need them!”. Love is in the details:)
