Anyone ready to start thinking about winter? Nope, didn’t think so. We’re barely into Spring, so winter clothing is the very last thing on my mind right now, but, of course, now is when the winter fashion previews start to appear, so think about them we must!
Boden has become one of my favourite brands this season. Their clothing tends to be classic, chic, and, as I said on my other blog recently, the kind of styles that Audrey Hepburn might wear if she were alive today, and shopping online. (Think cropped cigarette pants, bardot-neck sweaters, pointed slingback flats… you get the picture.) Because of that, they’re one of the few brands whose winter previews I’m actually excited to see, so when the preview site launched this week, I headed straight over to take a look.
The winter collection isn’t as alluring to me as the current summer one, but winter collections rarely are, so no surprises there. There are a few items I’m already coveting, however, the most notable being that amazing pink coat! I loved the trend for pastel coats this winter, and am really hoping it will continue into this year, so I can finally get round to buying myself one. I don’t think this shade of pink is one I’d be able to pull off so close to my face, unfortunately, but I LOVE the 50s-inspired big collar, and if they’d made this in baby blue (or worse – mint green), I’d be really struggling not to pre-order one right now!
Speaking of which: although these items won’t ship until July/August, you can pre-order them now. I’ve done this before with Boden, and it’s always a nice surprise when your item finally drops through the letterbox (It makes me feel like I got it for free, even although I didn’t!), so go here to see the full preview, and order your items!
pink Eliza coat, £179 // Lindsay ponte dress, £89 // red Zoe dress, £89 // spot collar jumper, £69 // green Pamela jumper, £49
All the yesses to that red dress!
My new winter coat (winter is about to start here, I had to get one) looks a LOT like that pink coat. Almost exactly the same colour, in fact.
Oh oh, you’re gonna love this one:
