I felt like this outfit would’ve been more at home on the platform of a railway station in the 1940s, with a handsome man in a suit waving a handkerchief out of the window at me, but retro railways are hard to come by around these parts, and it also felt very Autumnal, so I guess it was only right to photograph it amongst some Autumn leaves!
Anyway, dinner is (almost) on the table, and the weekend awaits, so I’m going to keep this one short and sweet, and leave you with some shoe shots, courtesy of my lovely photographer, Terry. (He’s also cooking me dinner tonight: I think I lucked out there…)
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. You look beautiful, I love the outfit and you’re right it reminds me of a railway station in the 1940’s too. 🙂
I’m really glad someone knew what I was talking about with that! Thanks 🙂
I simply looooved the pictures! When I first saw them, I thought “like a movie from the 1940’s”, exactly this way, and then you wrote that! The outfit is fantastiiiic, and I am amazed the jacket and skirt don’t belong to the same set – from two different stores, but the color seem to be the same! You look really amazing! And hope your dinner was very nice!
I know! I’ve had the jacket/cardi for years and just got the skirt a couple of weeks ago, but they’re such a perfect match!
Thanks for your lovely comments – and yay for someone else getting my 40s theme 🙂
Wow! you look stunning. I totally get the 40s theme. 🙂
Thank you 🙂
You look absolutely stunning! Love the theme…Love the look… Classic Beauty!
thanks!
Oh goodness, you look beautiful, Amber.
I love the shoes, the outfit, the location.
I want to live in Scotland.
I think Scotland is at it’s best in the earlu Autumn – there’s a really nice quality to the light, and the leaves haven’t had a chance to get all mulchy and horrible, so it can be really beautiful. Winter is a different story, though!
I will definitely have to visit Scotland in the Autumn, then! It sounds very beautiful.
Gorgeous!
thank you!
This is the best photoshoot yet Amber. The 40s theme is great, particularly as you have interpreted it rather than reproducing it exactly.
How wonderful are boots that zip up the back? Do you find that they chomp your tights when you cross your legs though?
Thanks so much! The boots actually just have the zip on the inside of the legs, but I can see why you thought they were on the back – I think my legs are just at a really weird angle in that one!
Great outfit, great boots, great photos! As I am currently slouching in a t-shirt and jeans, it soothes my soul to see someone looking so stylish and retro!
Wow, you look so beautiful! Very retro 🙂
Wow – You look gorgeous… I love the entire outfit and your hair looks so beautiful amongst all those autumnal colours.
*Very* stylish pictures – I see a stylist + fashion photographer in the making…
