Daniele Michetti purple bow-front pumps, £460
Daniele Michetti is a new designer to ShoeperWoman.com (although he’s far from new to the world of fashion), but given that he’s managed to achieve Shoe Kryptonite status with his very first pair of shoes to be featured here, I think it’s safe to say you can expect to see a lot more of his work.
It’s also safe to say that if these shoes weren’t £460, they’re be on their way to be right now, because the second I saw that bow, I was seriously smitten. Even from the side view, you can tell this is one of those over-sized, extravagant bows that have the ability to turn a regular old court shoe into the type of footwear Cinderella would definitely have turned back for. Viewed from the front, they’re even more spectacular, but to be honest, I don’t think it would be fair to describe these as “regular old court shoes”, even without the embellishment. The pump lurking underneath is also worthy of attention, with its low vamp and its elegant silhouette: to say nothing of that rich, purple colour, which I always associate with autumn and winter.
What to wear with purple pumps?
I’d happily wear these particular purple pumps with my pyjamas if I had to, but that wouldn’t be much fun to style, so I’ve put this look together instead:
Black long-sleeved dress and purple shoes:
♥ DSquared2 dress ♥ House of Harlow clutch ♥ Love Moschino belt ♥ Allurez diamond earrings ♥ MAC lipstick
Despite the giant bows, these are subtle enough in colour to work with a more elaborate outfit, but for this look I’ve chosen to allow them to shine as the centerpiece of a very simple, classic look, with a bit of a retro feel, as an added bonus.
haha, I loved this line: “into the type of footwear Cinderella would definitely have turned back for”. It made me smile!
I need these shoes! Right now!
