Menbur ‘Franz’ metallic strappy sandals, £84.83
When it comes to party shoes, and other evening-appropriate styles, I find it hard to look past Menbur, which is a brand I discovered a couple of years ago, and have continued to appreciate ever since. I have a couple of pairs of shoes from this brand, and am always impressed by the quality, which is higher than the price tag would suggest, especially given that they’re the kind of styles that people always make a beeline for when they’re looking at my shoe shelves. Those are always the best kind of shoes, don’t you think?
I’d definitely make a beeline for these ‘Franz’ sandals, which have a wonderfully vintage feel, which reminds me of old-fashioned dancing shoes with their delicate t-bar and shimmering gold straps. These high heeled sandals mix three different shades of gold to stunning effect here – the end result is very glamorous, but not too ostentatious – the kind of shoes that could end up being your party companions for years to come.

Although vintage-inspired, these are the kind of shoes that would work well with more contemporary pieces – they’re timeless, rather than “retro”, which means they won’t look dated or costumey. With that said, I’ve chosen to stick with the vintage theme for my outfit selection – mostly because I’ve had my eye on this dress for a while now, and have been looking for an excuse to feature it. It’s by Lindybop, which has become another favourite brand of mine: I finally took the plunge, and ordered a couple of their dresses this Christmas, and they’re another brand which is low-cost, but not low in quality. I think this dress would be amazing for the spring/summer season: I love the pale blue colour and delicate floral print!
I think these are just gorgeous!
