Kurt Geiger ‘Juniper’ Bow d’Orsay Sandals, $485
Remember Kurt Geiger’s ‘Maia’ sandals? I showed you them back in August, and loved the cute little asymmetric bow on the front: well, I still love that bow, so I’m happy to see that while ‘Maia’ may be sold out, her sister ‘Juniper’ is here, to keep our feet well dressed in 2015!
‘Juniper’ is the d’orsay version of ‘Maia’, which was am ankle-strap sandal. I’d be hard-pushed to pick a favourite between the two, but I tend to find shoes without ankle straps a little more comfortable (not to mention a little more flattering) than shoes with them, so I guess ‘Juniper’ here might just win. Either way, though, it’s the bow that really matters on this shoe, and the bow is sheer perfection, reminding me of a Nicholas Kirkwood creation from a couple of years back.
The suede upper, meanwhile, should be nice and soft, and the black colour is always a good one to have in your closet. These would work seamlessly with so many evening dresses, but, somewhat unusually for me, I’ve chosen an all-black look for these:
Like the shoes, this dress (which is by Victoria Beckham) is simple elegance at its best, and proof that fashion doesn’t have to be flashy to be stylish. It’s the kind of item you’d have in your closet for years, and which could look totally different each time you wore it, depending on how you chose to style it. With this look, I’ve opted to keep things simple: sometimes some subtle gold accents are all you need with plain black – if it’s too simple for your tastes, just add some jewellery to personalise things a little.

Oh the magnificence! I love them.
