River Island gold bow-embellished bow court shoes
I know it’s far to early in the year to be thinking about party shoes (mind you, I know I’ll still be saying that in December, such is my dislike of the party season, and everything connected to it…), but I guess it’s never too early to start buying beautiful shoes, is it? Didn’t think so.
These are from River Island, who I actually haven’t featured too often this year. Don’t get me wrong, I love RI, and there was a time when probably half my shoe collection came from there, but this year, while they have had some lovely shoes on offer, I’ve found them all to be just a little bit “samey”, which means I’ve kind of gotten out of the habit of checking in as often as I used to. (This is actually a complaint I’ve been making about quite a few brands over the past year or so, though, and I’m starting to suspect the “problem”, for want of a better word, is probably with me, rather than with them: I think my taste is just a little out-of-step with what’s popular in the shoe world right now, so maybe I just need to wait a couple of seasons and see if I catch back up!)
I did take a look at the River Island website this week, though, and immediately zeroed in on these gold bow-embellished court shoes. I’m sure anyone who’s been reading this blog semi-regularly will know how much I love a good bow, and one covered in rhinestones is always going to win my heart, no questions asked. I also love the gold upper on this shoe, which makes it feel extra special, even although it’s just a simple, pointed court shoe. What do you think of these?
