Paper Dolls Casadei Blade Dupes, £59.99
Recognise that heel? You should do: I’ve shown you them often enough, although they’re normally attached to the amazing Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps when I do!
These shoes aren’t by Casadei, and when you take a closer look, you can probably work that out: the heel shape, while similar to the original, isn’t quite as tapered or as extreme, and I suspect that if you were to see the two shoes side by side, the difference would be even more apparent.
On its own, however, it’s a pretty good dupe, and while it’s up to you to decide how you feel about that, the price tag alone will probably be a factor in many people’s decisions: these are certainly a whole lot cheaper than the designer shoe they’ve been inspired by! As for rest of the design, it’s a pointed pump, with mock-snakeskin upper, in a colour which the Dorothy Perkins website describes as pink, which looks much closer to orange on my monitor. Whatever the colour, however, the bad news is that these are in very low stock, so I hope you haven’t fallen in love with them TOO much – or that new stock is available soon, if you have!
Assuming you do manage to grab a pair of these, what would you wear with them? Here’s how I’d wear them:
What to wear with orange shoes:
Floral skirt and orange pumps:
♥ Topshop skirt ♥ River Island top ♥ Maison Martin Margiela belt ♥ Alessi watch ♥ Celine sunglasses
I love this Topshop skirt, but feel like the loud print could be hard to pull off, which is why I’ve gone for all-black accessories, with the exception of the shoes themselves. I think the resulting look has a very autumn-appropriate feel to it: just add one of those leather jackets I keep talking about lately, and you’re all set!
I’ve never been a fan of the Casadei blade, so a cheaper version doesn’t really do it for me either. Nice skirt!
