Office Fairy Floss Bow Loafers
Yeah, yeah, I know I said I’d knock it off with all the pink suede, but these shoes are totally different from the usual run of stilettos I normally feature here (and for once, I have absolutely no intention of buying them either – wonders will never cease!), so this one totally doesn’t count, OK?
Anyway! Loafers! They’re one of those shoe styles that I really want to like – and DO like, actually – but which just don’t seem to work for me. I must have tried on countless pairs of loafers this year, and , every time I do, I think these will be the ones that will transform me into one of those casually stylish women I’m always seeing on fashion blogs and Instagram, but every single time, I just look… well, a bit odd, instead. I’m not sure if it’s just an adjustment of the eye that’s needed here – loafers are so totally different from my usual style that I’m sure they’d take a bit of getting used to – or if it’s a whole new wardrobe that’s required instead, but I put them on, and I basically look like I’m wearing someone else’s clothes. This is disappointing, because I know there’s a whole world of loafers out there, just waiting to be worn, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like I’m going to be the one to do it – unless I somehow manage to figure out whatever it is about them that just doesn’t ever seem to work for me, obviously.
These ones are from Office, and come in a range of colours, with pink suede being just one of them. As well as the colour choices, though, I also like the flat bow on the front of these, which helps give them a bit of a feminine touch without being too fussy, which would really detract from that classic loafer style.
