The turquoise upper, with its little slash of metallic purple, is pretty enough here, but most of the interest in this shoe lies in the heel, which is notable for two reasons:
1) It’s checked.
2) It’s completely square:
It’s also just a little bit inset from the edge of the sole, which makes it look more like a pillar on a building than the heel of a shoe. Or perhaps that’s just me?
Overall, I want to like these, because I’m a big Nicholas Kirkwood fan, but I just think there’s too much going on. And once again, I find myself longing for a simpler, plainer, rounder heel.
What do you think? These are £504 at Louisa Via Roma.
They’re interesting, but I would have like them a whole lot better without the print on the heel.
WOW. They are fabulous! I Love the heel, and the colour too, beautiful!
Somehow I like them – above all, the main color… but they are very expensive for sure, so just for me to admire them is OK!
Is it just me, or is that heel cockeyed, like it wasn’t put on straight?
I love the upper…
I would like them very much if the heel was a normal shape, and in that beautiful turquoise colour.
