I’m starting to see an awful lot of glitter shoes appearing on my favourite websites lately. I have a horrible feeling this heralds the start of the Christmas party season, and that within a couple of weeks I’ll be drowning in a sea of press releases about Christmas gift guides and how to find the perfect party dress. Yes, I know it’s not even September yet, but trust me: it gets earlier every year, to the point where we’ll soon be being urged to start thinking about Christmas on December 26th.
Anyway, I’m not happy about the gift guides, and the tinsel, and the carols I’ll soon be hearing in stores, but I reckon I can handle the shoes. New Look actually released a non-glitter version of this style last year, which seemed to sell pretty well, so they’re presumably hoping the glitter look will do even better. I like the contras tof the silver and blue version, but I actually think the slightly more subtle black is even nicer.
What do you think?
These are £24.99 and you can click here to buy them at New Look.
A bit too much glitter!
These are gorgeous. Though I bought the gold glittery t-bar shoes a few weeks ago, and after the second wear the glitter has worn quite a lot on the fron toe part of the platform. I think I’m going to have to get creative with some glitter and glue to repair them. Looks like these would go the same way. But, like these, I only paid £25 so can’t complain too much!
I have already started thinking of Christmas… and you are right, with the amount of glitter shoes that the shops are offering now… they are also thiking of Christmas!
I liked these ones now!
There is not enough glitter in the world, especially here, where it’s still winter, so I think everyone should get both pairs!
i do really like the blue, but black would be more practical – as practical as black glitter stilettos can be, anyway.
