Miu Miu black and pink satin sandals, 590 EUR at My Theresa
These shoes are almost perfect. The straps are perfect. The bow is perfect. The black and pink colourway? Perfect.
As for the heel, however: well, I’m sure it’ll be perfect for some, but it’s not quite perfect for me, and while I do rather like looking at it in the images above, this particular style always looks a little bit “wrong” to me: as if the designer intended to use a different heel (one more in keeping with the style of the upper, perhaps), but couldn’t find the materials, so just propped the shoe up on this, as a temporary measure. The inset placement of it, combined with the angle of the stiletto, both combine to create a rather industrial feel, which is at odds with the very traditionally “feminine” upper. That contrast, of course, is presumably the whole point of this design, and is the reason many people will love it, but being more into classic style than edgy creations, it’s the one thing I don’t love about these.
(Somewhat strangely for me, I don’t actively hate it either, though, so you never know: perhaps it’ll grow on me, and this time next year I’ll be raving about it!)
I’ve absolutely no objections to the black and pink colours used on this shoe, here: as I’m sure my regular readers are tired of hearing by now, it’s still one of my favourite combinations, and here’s an outfit which reflects that:

♥ LK Bennett dress ♥ Lily Pulitzer bow tie belt ♥ Charlotte Olympia clutch ♥ MAC lipstick
Black and pink may be the obvious choice for these shoes, but if it works, then why not?
I find the angle of the heel slightly strange, but it’s not enough to put me off entirely.
