Miss Selfridge ‘Clementine’ pointed court shoes with metal toe cap

Miss Selfridge Clementine pumps

I’ve spoken a lot about mint here recently, but my other current colour obsession is with lemon, which is just so light, fresh and perfect for Spring. And which also looks great with mint, come to think about it, if you don’t mind looking a bit like a daffodil. Which I obviously don’t.

Anyway, it was the lemon colour which drew me Miss Selfridge’s ‘Clementine’ pumps, although, having investigated further, I see they’re also available in a coral/pink colourway.

The combination of the pointed toe and curved sides gives these a very 80s vibe, which means they won’t be popular with all of you. They offer further proof that the pointed toe is most definitely making a comeback, although I’m happy to see that the current crop of pointed toes are much shorter than the ones we saw in the 90s, early 00s, which had the effect of elongating the foot. These toes are easier to wear, although the very 80s shape might make styling them a little more challenging .

What do you think? Are you ready to return to the 80s in footwear?
