I know many of you still baulk at the idea of plastic shoes (especially $70 ones), but I’ve long been a convert, and even if I wasn’t, I’d probably still have paused to take a second look at these cute little Melissa bow flats.

These have a fantastic shape, with an asymmetric vamp and low-cut sides, making them a little more sophisticated than the traditional round-toed ballet flats. I mostly love them for the black and white colour scheme, though, which has tons of drama, but will still be really easy to wear.
