You know it’s spring when you start seeing flowers everywhere – and I don’t just mean in gardens and parks, but on clothes and shoes, too. These Manolo Blahnik sandals are a really pretty alternative to the more traditional floral prints we’re used to seeing on shoes. With their caged upper and delicate rose embellishments, they have something of a ‘fairytale’ feel to them, somehow, and I like them all the more for it.

As for the brand itself, Manolo Blahnik is a brand I tend to neglect a little: these days I mostly associate them with the iconic ‘Hangisi’ pumps, which were popularised by Sex and the City (they were Carrie’s wedding shoes, and spawned numerous high street copies), but which still remain popular to this day, with Blahnik continue to produce them in various different colours and styles. I do like the Hangisi pumps, but these sandals are a totally different style, and a welcome departure from them, with their fanciful uppers, and delicate, curvy heel.

Unfortunately, however, the price tag is a high one (Which I should probably have guessed as soon as I laid eyes on them!), even for Manolo Blahnik, and at £1,868, I can safely say I’m not going to be buying them any time soon (Or, you know, AT ALL…). If you want to, however, they’re currently available to pre-order at Neiman Marcus, with delivery expected at the end of April: don’t forget to think of me when you wear them!
