Iron Fist court shoes, £75.99
I’ve seen a lot of different prints, on a lot of different shoes, but I think this might just be the first time I’ve come across shoes decorated with a herd of little lambs!
These are by Iron Fist, and it was actually the Minnie Mouse style polka dot bow that first attracted me to them. As I looked at the photo, however, I found myself thinking, “Is that a … sheep?” And yes, it WAS: or a lamb, rather. Lots of lambs, actually, including the ‘black sheep’ that gives these shoes their name, which you can just see on the edge of the heel and sole.
I’ve never been one for animals on shoes (Animal PRINT, sure, but animals themselves, not so much…) but as this is the kind of print that’s only really obvious when you lean in for a closer look, I find it much more acceptable, and actually kind of fun. I’ve always been a sucker for a baby animal, though, so I’m sure those cute little faces are clouding my judgement somewhat.
