Charlotte Olympia ‘Rosa’, $1,090
When a brand is mostly famous for its creative and quirky footwear, it’s sometimes easy to forget they make classically beautiful ones, too. These ‘Rosa’ sandals are a bit different from Charlotte Olympia’s usual offerings: there’s no platform, no “novelty” value, and, well, no poodles.
What there IS, however, is a stunning, strappy sandal, with a bright red upper and an oversized rose embellishment on the toe. These have a lovely, vintage feel to them, and although they’d be pretty in any colour, I love the red, which I’ve always considered to be an essential colour in my shoe collection. These will work wonderfully with many of the floral-print pieces which are around every summer, although they’d also make a wonderful statement shoe worn with something simple, like the classic little black dress.
