Guess ‘Ansina’ peep toes*, £102.39
Following on from yesterday’s rant about red shoes and the perceptions some people have of them, I guess it’s only fitting that I show you my latest pair of bright red shoes!
These are the Guess ‘Ansina’ peep toes which I featured here just a few weeks ago: after writing about them, I realised I just couldn’t live without them (I should probably stop doing that, or I’m going to be needing a whole extra room for my growing shoe collection…), so I used up some Spartoo vouchers I had to buy the last pair in my size.
It hasn’t been long since I last wrote about these shoes, so I’ll keep this brief other than to say that they’re even MORE amazing in real life than they looked in the product shot, and are true show-stoppers. As with the Zara sandals I showed you yesterday, they’re very “vampy”, and will require careful styling if I don’t want to get sleazy emails about them, but red peep toes are something of a shoe staple for me, and I think they can have a very retro feel to them, which is, of course, how I’ll be wearing them.
A quick note on sizing: I ordered my usual size 4, and when I took them out of the box, I was a little worried, because I thought they looked very large. Luckily, however, that didn’t prove to be the case when I put them on: they’re definitely a tiny bit larger than I’d expect for a UK 4 (As impossible as it must be, I’m starting to think my feet must have shrunk lately, because I’ve been having this issue quiet a lot), but after parading around the house in them a few times, I think they’ll be fine. That said, I’d be interested to try a half-size down: that size wasn’t available, unfortunately, but if you’re thinking of trying these, and the half-size is available, I’d suggest giving it a go![Disclosure: Spartoo is a Shoeperwoman sponsor]
