Giuseppe Zanotti pumps, £543
I couldn’t let the day come to an end without showing you these wonderful red pumps, by Giuseppe Zanotti.
These have that oh-so-familiar pointed-toe shape: if you’re not used to it by now, well, you probably never will be, because this kind of look has dominated the shoe scene for a while now, and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere fast. That leaves shoe designers with the problem of trying to constantly re-invent the classic look – or at least freshen it up a little – and in Giuseppe Zanotti’s case, he’s used two different techniques to make sure his pointed red pumps stand out from the rest:
1. The gold studs covering the entire upper
2. The slender, cone-shaped heel, which isn’t radically different from a standard stiletto, but which does help to create a slightly different look.
I, as I’m sure I don’t need to tell you, love everything about these. I probably wouldn’t spend £543 on them, mind you, purely because there are a lot of lower-priced options out there right now, and while they may not look quite as nice as these, the fact that they don’t COST as much either makes them a whole lot more appealing. If these are the only shoes for you, however, you’ll find them at Neiman Marcus, where they’re also available in black.
Oh boy. They are beautiful!
