Giuseppe Zanotti ‘Alien’, $650
One of my other favourite shoe acquisitions of this year was the pair of simple black peep toes I got as part of the Sarenza Brand Ambassador Programme last month. I’ve only had those shoes for a few weeks, and most of that time it hasn’t exactly been “suede peep toe” weather, but even so, they’ve already been worn more often than many of the pairs in my collection, and I’m starting to wonder what on earth I used to wear before I owned them.
It’s safe to say, then, that black peep toes are definitely one of my “must have” shoe styles, which is why this pair by Giuseppe Zanotti jumped out at me. The height of the heel (5″, with only a 0.5″ platform = not the easiest height to walk in) would probably prevent these being in quite as frequent rotation as my current pair of peep toes, but then again, I have a feeling these weren’t designed to be a “day to day” shoe, somehow. They have a definite “car to bar” feel about them, and would be perfect for a night on the town. I love the way the curvy shape and pointed heel combine to give a classic style a giant dose of sex appeal: more proof that sometimes simple really is best!

Perfection. Definite ‘investment’ shoes, the type I regularly try to convince Ollie I can justify buying as I’d wear them ‘for the rest of my life’. Ollie then points out that I wont get away with wearing heels this high when I’m a pensioner, but I’m determined to prove him wrong on that one!
