These definitely aren’t the most conventional of Christian Louboutin’s offerings, but they are one of his more memorable styles, so I’m duly offering them up as your Friday Fix, and you can decide for yourself what you think of them.
These are called ‘Police’, they’re designed to look like a measuring tape wound around the foot, and they’ll probably be popular with dressmakers (or people who want to make a statement about fashion, and its obsession with size) and less so with those of you who are sensitive about the size of your feet or ankles. Oh, and they’re $795 at Neiman Marcus.
What’s the verdict?

These are a ‘miss’ from Msr Louboutin for me
Yep, these find no fan in me either… 🙁
Sadly, they are one of his few styles I just can’t appreciate.
They’re cute in an offbeat way, but certainly not in a serious, plunk-down-$800-for-them way.
I actually think they’re cute, but certainly not for $795!
Love them! Sexy and fun – winning combination!!
It seems like the name would have made more sense if he’d used the “Do Not Cross” police tape instead of measuring tapes. (And then the Fashion Police could have had a new uniform shoe.)
