Christian Louboutin Very Prive 120 patent peep toes

Christian Louboutin Very Prive 120 patent peep toes, £545

According to the Christian Louboutin website, M. Louboutin believes every fashionista should own a pair of Very Prive 120s.

Now, I don’t consider myself to be a “fashionsita”, and I’ve never subscribed to the idea that there are certain items “every woman must own”. All the same, though, I kinda wish I could get that in writing from him – ideally addressed to ShoeperMan – because there’s one thing I do agree with Louboutin on, and it’s that Very Prive here is everything a peep toe should be. That’s why I’m showing you this nude patent version, even although it’s such a classic I know you’ve seen them 1,000 times before.

These shoes never get old, though: they’re perfectly simple, and simply perfect – and that’s really all that needs to be said about them. They’ve been released in various colours and fabrics over the years, but this patent version comes in nude and black, and one day I fully intend to own them in both of those colours. And also a few more. It’s good to have goals, people, trust me.

At £545, they’re definitely not cheap, but if you’re new to Louboutin and looking for a “starter shoe”, so to speak, I don’t think you can go wrong with something like this, which is as versatile as it gets. Look at it this way: you only have to wear them 545 times for the cost-per-wear to be just £1. Now THAT’S a bargain…

  • Ahhhh, Very Prive, my old friend! I always thought Very Prive’s would be my first Louboutin purchase, I’ve always loved them! In the end I actually went for Pigalle’s though as I figured they’d be more wearable all year round (though really, I’m pretty sure I’d still wear these in the middle of Winter, even if it meant losing my toes to frostbite!). I still want them so bad. Basically the perfect shoe!

  • Can’t deny the Very Prives have a better look than a lot of designer heels. One of my first pair of Louboutins that I fell in love with was the Lady Page Black Patent Pumps. With their 13.5cm stiletto heel, 1.5cm platform, and excellent arch support, I was walking in 12cm high heels that fit so snug and comfortable, that I acquired more of a taste for designer brands, in spite of their pricey cost. Too bad my budget didn’t increase to meet the demand, which tempered my buying them to only a couple of designer heels a year, unless I came upon some bargain sales or my desire overpowers my wallet.
