Christian Louboutin ‘Talitha’ glitter t-bar sandals, £639
It’s been a good year for t-bars, that’s for sure.
It’s a style that can have a very prim and proper kind of feel to it (not that that’s a bad thing, necessarily), but it’s also a style that can be sexy and glamorous, and there are no prizes for guessing which category these Christian Louboutin ‘Talitha’ t-bars fall into.
There’s definitely nothing “prim” about a sparkly, glitter upper, and spiky stiletto heels don’t exactly create a buttoned-up impression either. Just in case there was any doubt, Louboutin has added a mirrored insole (just visible peeking out of the small peep-toe), plus a slim strap, threading its way around the ankle.
And THAT, my friends, is how you make a t-bar sandal. Don’t forget the low, curved sides, too – an essential ingredient of any Louboutin design.
The bad news is that these are currently only available to pre-order, with shipping expected at the end of February next year. I know three months seems like a long time to wait for a new pair of shoes (especially ones which would be so perfect for the party season!), but on the plus side, at least it’ll give you a bit of time to save up the necessary £639 – not to mention the extra time to find ways to justify it. And hey: February can be a dark, miserable little month – don’t you think a pair of fabulous shoes at the end of it would make everything a little more bearable?
