Christian Louboutin Pigalle Follies, £425
Christian Louboutin’s ‘Pigalle’ is one of the designer’s most iconic creations, and also one of my own personal favourites. I know that many of you feel the toe is just too long, and too sharp to be comfortable, however (You can read my tips on how to walk in Pigalle 120s here…), so just for you – no, really: he did this JUST FOR YOU, I’m not joking – here’s Pigalle Follies: the Pigalle’s little sister.
As you can see, this shoe has the same stunning shape as its predecessor, but the toe box is just a little bit shorter and rounder, so the overall effect isn’t quite as sharp. This version also has a 100mm heel, so it should be easier to walk in, too. Shorter and rounder it may me, however, but I think these are every bit as beautiful as the original Pigalles, and have a good chance of becoming even more popular, especially if they actually DO manage to eliminate some of those comfort issues.
At the moment, these come in a few different variations of black, but I’m hoping for a wider colour selection in future. I love the black suede shown above, but the flocked glitter version is pretty nice too!
