Christian Louboutin Morphetina Multi, £545
I’ve written a lot about the colour pink this year (“Tell us something we don’t already know,” I hear you say…), but although these shoes fit in with that general theme, they’re a slightly different take on the trend, being a hot (HOT) pink, as opposed to one of the soft pastel shades we’re seeing so much of at the moment.
I can’t say I’m complaining, either: this is a shade that works wonderfully well with the gold on the t-bar, creating a real show-stopper of a sandal. I love the contrast of gold leather with hot pink suede, and I also love the way the gold of the t-bar and side straps almost seems to be pouring out of the ankle strap. There’s something very decadent about the whole look, and “decadent” is a very good basis for an evening shoe, don’t you think?
(I say “evening shoe” – I think these could also look fantastic with jeans, for a smart/casual look, too.)
These are one of a few different Louboutin styles which are available in this reddish-pink shade right now: what do you think of it?
