As part of the party outfits series I started earlier this week, I thought today I’d take a look at party dresses: well, no party season would be complete without a smattering of little black (or red, or green, or blue…) party dresses, would it?
Although we’re lucky to have a huge amount of choice here in the UK, one of my favourite shopping destinations for dresses of all kinds is ASOS, so I’ve had a good look at some of the party dresses currently on offer there, and here are just a few of my favourites:
Little Mistress metallic stripe skater dress, £65
Although it’s available to buy at ASOS, this dress is actually by the brand Little Mistress, and is £65. I love the bronze, black and cream stripes, which have a subtle shimmer to them: it’s a colour mix you don’t tend to see all that often, but it’s very festive, and totally party-appropriate!
Although this roundup is mostly concentrating on Christmas party dresses, I think this one could work at any time of year: in fact, it would be perfect for a summer wedding, or similar event. This is a shape ASOS have been doing a lot of recently, and I hope they never stop: I love that bardot neckline and full skirt!
Chi Chi London metallic lace prom dress, £67
This dress is low in stock at the moment, and it’s not hard to see why: it’s absolutely stunning,and very unusual, too!
ASOS green metallic prom dress, £85
A large number of my existing party dresses are green, but that wouldn’t stop me buying this one too, if I possibly could!
Finally:
ASOS satin bardot midi dress, £95
This dress is available in three colours: green, pink and this bright purple. My favourite – naturally – is the green, but they’ll all amazing dresses, in a truly show-stopping style!
For this roundup, I’ve concentrated mostly on full-skirted party dresses: ASOS do, however, have much more variety in stock, so check back soon, and I’ll round up some more for you!
