For this week’s Fashion Police Five Under Fifty challenge, I’ve gone straight to one of my own favourite stores for shoes on a budget: New Look!
It’s actually been a while since I bought anything from New Look, and I’m not really sure why, because every time I DO look at the site, I find plenty of shoes which go straight onto my wish list. Here are five of my current favourites, all under £50:
Houndstooth peep toes, £19.99
I LOVE houdstooth. It’s one of my favourite prints for winter, and I already have my eye on a pencil skirt and peplum top in this print. (Don’t worry, I won’t wear them at the same time. Well, probably not…) It’s a print that somehow always looks smart and polished to me, and I think these houdstooth peep toes would add a hit of polish to your outfit, too, whatever it may be. (OK, maybe not with the skirt and top I just mentioned. That might be a little bit much…)
I’ve nothing much to say about these, other than that as far as toecap pumps go, they’re perfect. And cheap. And also available in black.
Mint green court shoes, £44.99
I’ve spoken a lot of my great love of mint, and how pleased I was that it became the unofficial colour of the summer. The problem with mint shoes, though, is that many of them have suede uppers, which aren’t very practical in the colder month (or the warmer ones, if you like in the UK), so I like the fact that these shoes are leather, which will be that bit harder to ruin.
Kelly Brook polka dot wedges £24.99
I really loved the recent Kelly Brook collection for New Look, which was full of retro-inspired shapes and polka dots: two of my favourite fashion things! These black polka dot wedges are still available in a few sizes, and will be perfect with a sun dress or shorts.
Blue and turquoise peep toes, £19.99
I actually showed you a pair of Zara peep toes recently which were very similar to these. These ones are a little bit cheaper, and slightly less “square”: they also come in coral/pink.
