What does everyone think of square toes on shoes?
I have to admit that, even although I recently bought a couple of shoes with squarer-than-usual toes to them, this still isn’t my favourite shoe shape: possibly because a toe that’s too square will always make me think of Roald Dahl’s Witches, who had freaky, square feet. Those feet used to absolutely horrify me as a little girl, and I guess that horror has carried on through to later life, and has left me with an unfair bias towards square-toed shoes. This is a bit of a shame, because we’ve been seeing more and more of this shape lately, and Faith are the latest brand to embrace square toes, with these Cigh platforms, which are £65.
I love the bright pink soles and the YSL-inspired sweetheart vamp, but I think I’d probably like these even more with a rounded or almond toe. What do you think?
I am starting to like square toes shoes more and more. I guess that it depends on the shoe – some look stunning (and I do actually love this pair, it is the soles that do it!), and some look… well… witchy!

Nah, I don’t like the square toed look much and I don’t think it works on that shoe. I’d love them if they had a round toe as the purple sole is so pretty.
I prefer the almond toe. The rest of this shoe I like.

o my goodness i loved that book! but anyway, i think square toe looks really cute on some ballet flats (bringing to mind that en point look) and on stilettos like these which are a bit like alexander wang and LAMB’s take on square toe. so i approve! it can go very wrong though…i’d rather not think about creepy square shoes. *cringe*

I just can’t get the square toe thing, it’s not girly enough for me.
