Edith & Ella sandals, £135.99
Yellow is definitely one of my favourite shoe colours for summer – and for the rest of the year, actually – but for those of you who’d rather keep the bright colours more muted than a mustard or “sunshine” shade can tend to be, these Edith & Ella sandals are an easy way to incorporate the colour into your wardrobe.
The little yellow flowers on the uppers of these shoes give them a lovely, fresh, feel, while the teal ankle strap and insole is a nice contrast. These are two colours which work really well together, but because they’re used in fairly small doses here, the contrast isn’t too bold, or overwhelming.
If you’re a regular reader, I’m sure I don’t need to tell you about my over-reliance on cork/canvas wedges in the warmer months of the year. If you’re new to the site, though, I’ll simply add that breathable canvas uppers and a heel that will allow you to walk comfortably for miles, but still give you a bit of extra height and glamour, are always a great addition to the shoe closet, as far as I’m concerned!
I could remove that ankle strap and be as happy as a clam in those!
(How do we know clams are happy?)
