Dorothy Perkins pink and red satin bow shoes
Pink and is one of my favourite colour combinations. Actually, scratch that: it’s one of my favourite colour combinations on other people. I’m always seeing outfits like this one on Pinterest, and instantly wanting to try and replicate them: sadly for me, I know without even trying that I just wouldn’t be able to pull it off like this, so I have to content myself with admiring these looks from a distance, and then going back to my usual, more muted colour palettes. Shoes, however, are a very different beast from outfits, and, as you’ve probably heard me say a million times now, if you’re a longtime reader, it’s much easier to be adventurous in shoes, than it is with an outfit, somehow, which is why these pink and red sandals jumped out at me as I was scrolling through the Dorothy Perkins website .
These are actually very reminiscent of a style that was popular a couple of years ago, although I can’t quiet put my finger on exactly which shoes I’m thinking of. I am, however, willing to bet that these ones are probably more affordable: they’re just £29, and while I can’t vouch for the quality, I can vouch for the style! I’d wear these with a red midi skirt and black top, but I think they’d also look good with something like a little black dress, or even a pair of jeans, and a crisp white shirt. And while the colour combination alone is enough to make them stand out, the little bows on the heels are the perfect finishing touch – don’t you think?
Oh, and if you’re not such a big fan of pink and red, by the way, these also come in cream and black, just to tempt you!
