When your dad owns the company, it must be pretty hard to avoid accusations of nepotism, but I actually think Chloe Green’s new CJD shoe collection for Topshop does a pretty good job of tapping into the essence of her father’s brand. Put simply, the shoe are all “very Topshop”: they’re on trend, a little bit edgy, and occasionally totally OTT – exactly what we’ve come to expect, in other words.
These shoes are, for the most part, super-high, with equally high platforms, but there are also a few pairs of lower heels in there, including some rather nice biker boots. What stands out most to me is the lace effect upper used on three of the styles (wedge, pump and ankle boot), the generous amount of studs, and, of course, the green soles.
