If I’d seen these on the shoe rack, I might not have picked them up, but when I spotted the image above, I was instantly drawn to them.
These were worn by Thandie Newton to the Serpentine Summer Ball this week, and while I’m still not really sure about the shoe boots, I have no reservations about Thandie’s dress, which I loved. You’ll find a picture of her outfit under the jump, but tell me: what do you think of her shoes?
I’m really averse to shoe boots so don’t like them at all. I am also biased as I really dont like Thandie Newton!
The dress is stunning and Thandie Newton seems to me to be about 300 years old yet she only looks 30, which is amazing, but she’s chosen the wrong shoes. They are ugly.
I hate the upper, particularly since I’m not a big fan of nude in general, but I have to give the shoes a point for the awesome bright pink sole.
I’m not really a shoeboot at all either and these look like butchered cowboy boots too me…
Love Thandie Newton, hate the shoes. Anything that qualifies as a boot should not have cut-outs, it’s just wrong. Also, the colour is so wrong against her skin tone.
Horrible! There is nothing remotely sexy about these shoes.
At first I thought, “Wow, those are the most hideous shoes in the universe.” Then I saw the full look and somehow thought, “Those shoes are perfect for that outfit.” I am convinced that there was only one possible way to wear those and have them look good and somehow she did it.
