Casadei black and white t-bar sandals, £610

I don’t tend to wear a lot of black at this time of year. It’s not that I think black SHOULDN’T be worn during the spring and summer months, I hasten to add: it’s simply that I get so sick of wearing dark colours all winter that the last thing I want to do is wear more of them when the weather warms up. These shoes, however, I’d happily wear at any time of year. They’re by Casadei, and have the distinctive “blade” heel which I love so much.  I’m really glad that Casadei have been using this heel on so many of their shoes in recent years: I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of looking at it, and it has the ability to turn an otherwise plain pair of shoes into something amazing.

These, however, wouldn’t be a “plain” pair of shoes even without the heel. The black and white upper is used to wonderful effect here, and there are some wonderful little touches, such as the cage heel and the white trim on the peep toe. The overall effect is of a sophisticated, sexy sandal, which is still understated enough to work with a variety of outfits. Here’s just one of them:

What to wear with Casadei’s black and white t-bar sandals:

dress // clutch // lipstick // nail polish // glasses

This dress is by Suzannah, which is one of my favourite fantasy dress brands. They make the most amazing 50s-inspired dresses, and although they’re way out of my price league, they definitely make for some great eye candy! I’ve stuck to a classic black and white theme here, with some pops of bright red for added drama: a typical “ShoeperWoman” look!

  • These shoes are so pretty, I would have liked them in all-black as well (and I usually don’t like all-black shoes that much as I tend to think them boring) but the black and white combo is lovely (I like black and white for spring because I don’t wear much white during the winter). And I love that heel.

  • The Casadei Blade are my all time favorite in all its variants. So stunning and elegant and given the number of different shoes with the Blade heel, you can always find one that suits your taste.
