Green and gold: colour combinations just don’t get much better than that, as far as I’m concerned, and while these shoes are also available in black and white, it’s the green that’s really won my heart.
The colour isn’t the only thing to win my heart, here: the shape of the uppers is also beautiful: that gold-lined t-bar (I’m going to call it a “t-bar”, even although that’s not really what it is) turns a lovely shoe into a truly stunning one, and is very usual. I’m running out of superlatives here, so let me just quickly note that if I could change one thing about these it would be the heel: this type of narrow, metal heel has never been my favourite, and personally I’d have liked these more if either the suede had continued all the way down, or if the gold had continued all the way up.
It’s a minor quibble when faced with such glorious shoes, however, and I’m sure I’d happily learn to live with it. You know, if I absolutely had to.
If you could, too, these are £150, and you can click here to buy them from Kurt Geiger.
