Badgley Mischka shoes are undoubtedly beautiful, but they also tend to be very evening/occasion orientated: they make fantastic bridal or bridesmaid shoes, say, but they’re not always the most practical choice for the rest of us.
These shoes, however, are different. These ‘Macee’ peep toes are definitely dressy, with their metallic uppers and bow-embellished heels, but they’re not SO dressy you wouldn’t be able to wear them as part of a day-to-day look. While they’ll never be “casual”, exactly, I can see them working with a pair of black skinny pants or even jeans for a look which could easily take you through the day and out to dinner/drinks in the evening. Equally, if you DO want to dress them up to the nines, you won’t have a problem there either: this is a classic evening shoe, which will look good however you choose to wear it.
Of course, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t just quickly acknowledge that fabulous bow on the heel. This is yet another variation on what’s becoming a fairly common look this season. We’ve seen a lot of bows on a lot of heels recently, but I think this is the first one that’s been placed in a vertical position rather than a horizontal one, and it’s amazing how much of a difference such a small touch can make. And if you’re looking for the more traditionally “bridal” look from this brand, don’t worry: these also come in white!
