These shoes are definitely very “bridesmaidy”, and while I’m sure you could also find a use for them as a guest at a wedding, or to a posh evening event, even I would struggle to wear them on a daily basis.
Let’s just say you ARE a bridesmaid, though. (Have you ever been a bridesmaid? I have, but I was 5 at the time, so I kinda missed out on the excuse to buy pretty, impractical shoes…) Don’t you just love the jade satin uppers and the rhinestones on the toe?
I do. And I’d jump at the chance to wear them, if I could just find a good enough reason – and $245…
Badgley Mischka ‘Glynda’, $245: click here to buy them.
I have to admit, the first word that came into my head when I saw these was “prom”. I’m not feeling it.
Having said that, I’m a bridesmaid for the first time ever this year (squeeeeal!!) and if she wanted me to wear brisket flip-flops, I would do it.
I love them! And I’d love them even better if they came in fuchsia as well. 🙂
I was a bridesmaid last year (maid of honour, to be exact), but I got to pick my own outfit. As long as it wasn’t wearing anything white or very loud (can’t take the attention away from the bride), my friend was happy. I bought gorgeous metallic Dancer courts from Kurt Geiger, because of their versatility, which reminds me I have to get them out from under the dust and wear them asap!
And I wouldn’t have worn those flipflops, no matter how hard she’d begged. Friendship only goes so far… Give up a kidney? Sure, have one! Wear those monsters? No…
Ha ha yeah, maybe you’re right!
I love them. I’ve never been a bridesmaid so I need them, just in case someone asks me one day soon.
