Now, I know these are open-toed boots, and I’ve spoken out against this style many times before, but here’s the thing: I don’t hate these. I just can’t. They’re so striking and unusual, with that lovely mix of suede and lizard-print that rather than simply dismissing them out of hand, I find myself thinking up various ways to wear them instead.
As well as the interesting fabric mix, these also cut an unusual silhouette, with the high-collard heel and triangular base to the stiletto. Possibly not the most versatile shoes ever (They are peep-toe boots, at the end of the day), they’re definitely different, and if you feel they’re different in good way, you can buy yourself a pair at Net-a-Porter.
