Dolce & Gabbana cage sandals, £3,545
These are… totally not what I expected when I read the words “cage sandals” in the product description.
They’re better. Way, WAY better.
Taking the “cage” part of that description very literally, these are basically little rose gardens for your feet, with a a gold cage heel and upper, decorated with roses. The heel is 6.5″, with a 3″ platform, so these are going to feel VERY high to walk on. I very much doubt you’d be doing much walking in them, though: I’m just imagining someone trying to walk across a crowded room in these, and being stopped every few steps by people wanting a closer look.
They’re show-stoppers, then. Truly. And as little works of art, I think they’re absolutely amazing. As actual footwear, however, well, they’re not the most practical shoes ever, and nor are they supposed to be. And at £3,545, they’re not the most affordable shoes either.
Aren’t they just wonderful to look at, though?
