If you’re a regular Shoeperwoman reader, you may remember these shoes: they’ve been hovering near the top of my Wish List for a few months now, and when they went on sale at Kurt Geiger last week, I figured it was now or never!

I have Shoeperman to thank for these shoes: as some of you may have seen from my personal blog, my debit card was cloned last month (and my bank account cleared), so it had to be cancelled. I was a bit worried that the shoes would either sell out or go back up in price while I was waiting for the new card to arrive, so Shoeperman gallantly stepped in and bought them for me as a gift: thanks, Terry!

These also come in black and white, but as you can see, I went for the blue version, which is a light shade, hovering somewhere between turquoise and the famous ‘Tiffany’ blue. It’s much brighter in real life than it had looked in Kurt Geiger’s product shots, but I really like it, and it’s a colour that was previously missing from my shoe shelves so I guess it’s good to have that oversight corrected!

(Yes, I will find any way to justify a new shoe purchase…)

Carvela is one of my favourite shoe brands, as you can probably tell by the number of shoes I have from them. Not only do I love the style, though, I also find the fit to be one of the best on the high street: I can order a pair of Carvelas in my usual size 4, safe in the knowledge that they’ll fit perfectly, and this turned out to the case this time, too. I also find Carvela shoes more comfortable than most heels: these have patent uppers, but like the Carvela ‘Australia’ peep toes I bought earlier this year, it’s a very soft, flexible patent, which is easy to wear, and doesn’t rub.

Overall, I’m really pleased with these, and can see myself getting a lot of wear out of them, in both summer and winter. If you’d like a pair, they’re still on sale at Kurt Geiger, where they’re currently £59. I wouldn’t wait too long, though: there are only a few sizes left in the blue and white, although there’s a wider range of sizes still available in black. Click here to get them.
