As you can probably tell, I’m going through a bit of a “studs on everything” phase.
I spotted these ankle boots at River Island last week, and, well, I needed a new pair of ankle boots, so…
In real life they have a bit of a sheen to them, although not as much as the flash on this photo would suggest. The uppers are more like a kinda brushed suede than a matt leather.
Excuse my ankle socks.
They have a concealed platform and about a 5″ heel, but so far seem quite comfortable to walk in.
(The dog wasn’t asked to pose like that, by the way – he comes running when he sees a camera!)
One thing that surprised me a little is that they don’t have a zip or anything: you just pull them on, which means they’re a little more difficult to get on and off than some other styles. Even so, I can see myself getting a lot of use out of these this coming winter…

Those are nice, and they don’t look like they’re trying too hard, like a lot of studded boots do at the moment.
