Topshop ‘Rhiannon’ bow skinny sandals, £46

There’s something about a knotted bow that’s almost irresistible to me. Actually, to be completely honest, there’s something about MOST bows that makes them almost irresistible to me, but if you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you already know that, don’t you?

These bows are particularly nice, however, and the fact that they’re attached to a pretty gold stiletto-heeled sandal doesn’t hurt either. These also come in black, and as they’re the second pair of Topshop party shoes I’ve shown you recently, I don’t have too much to add to my previous comments about this style, other than to say that if you’re in the market for a pair of dress sandals, I really don’t think you’re going to have any trouble finding them right now: the stores are definitely starting to get ready for Christmas!

This is the part of the post where I normally show you some clothes you may or may not be able to wear with these shoes, but actually, today I’m going for something a little different, and showing you some lingerie, instead. Topshop might not be the first brand you think of when it comes to buying undies, but they’re actually one of my favourites for lingerie and nightwear, and normally have a few vaguely vintage-inspired pieces, like this lace bralet, for instance:

I think it might be time for a lingerie drawer clear-out: one of those things I’m always promising myself I’ll get round to, right before I let myself be seduced by a new pair of shoes, or a new dress, instead. I’m a big believer in the idea that everything you wear should make you feel good about wearing it – even things like underwear, loungerwear etc, which often get neglected – so maybe it’s time to put my money where my mouth is: we’ll see!
