Ted Baker ‘Torela’ pink crystal court shoes, £130
Just in case you hadn’t noticed, I’m completely obsessed with Ted Baker at the moment. In fact, if I could just crawl inside my computer screen and live inside the Ted Baker website, that would suit me just fine: it would be a perfect little pastel and floral-print world, and it would be totally filled with amazing clothes and shoes. Which, of course, brings me to these ‘Torela’ pumps.
I’m actually really surprised it’s taken me this long to get around to showing you these: I’ve been aware of them for a while now, and they’re typically “Ted”, as I like to think of it – satin uppers, classic shape, some kind of stand-out detail. In this case, the stand-out detail is the bejewelled toe. The toe itself is very narrow and pointed, which would be worthy of notice in itself, but the fact that it’s so laden with crystals makes it even more noteworthy. The gold in the casing is also picked up in the gold heel tips: normally this is a detail that would turn me off a shoe ever so slightly, but in this case I think it works well, and adds something to the design.
As well as this hot pink shade, these also come in black, white and nude: the latter two options would make wonderful wedding shoes, while the first two will take you anywhere that requires a dress shoe. Or anywhere you think you can get away with wearing them, anyway, because who needs a special occasion to wear a special shoe? Not me.
What to wear with Ted Baker ‘Torela’?
top // skirt // bag // watch // ring
This top is also by Ted Baker, and you can trust me when I tell you I did well to only select one other item from that particular website. Well, I DID say I was obsessed…
I think I’d like one of the other colours; that’s just a bit too pink for me.
