Ted Baker ‘Oaker’ black embellished heel platform pumps, £127.50
We’ve seen this bow before on these pages, although not on this particular shoe. It also appears on the toe of the Ted Baker ‘Mayter’ court shoes I showed you last month, and now here it is on the heel of these ‘Oaker’ platforms from the same brand. It’s this year’s ‘Ted Baker bow’, basically, just as the ‘Keanah‘ bow was the shape of last season. Don’t you just love that they have a different bow for each year? I do, although that could just be because Ted Baker is particularly skilled in the “shoes with bows” department.
As for these ones, I think they make for a a really nice, understated pair of evening shoes, which only reveal their true personality once you turn your back. Like the mullet, they’re all business in front, party in the back. Unlike the mullet, however, they’re extremely pretty. If only the same thing could be said about the haircut of the same name…

Aw geez, I’m still trying to track down a decent priced pair of Keanahs and now Ted Baker has given me another style to lust after. Damn him!
I positively adore them, and am devastated that Ted Baker seems to be completely unknown in Australia.
