Giuseppe Zannoti patent and denim mules, $595
Mules don’t tend to go down well here at ShoeperWoman.com.
Neither does any shoe which can have the word “denim” used in its product description.
So why am I showing you these Giuseppe Zanotti high heel mules, which come complete with a denim insole/platform? Well, because they’re HOT, basically. Red hot. And when a shoe looks THIS good, the dedicated shoeperwoman finds it perfectly possible to overlook some of the smaller details of its construction. Like whether or no you’ll actually be able to walk in them, for instance.
OK, I’m kidding: I’d never advocate buying shoes you literally can’t walk in – especially not ones which cost you $595. In fact, if I’m going to be paying that much for shoes, you better believe I’ll be walking in them – absolutely EVERYWHERE. Although these have a 5″ heel, however, they also have a tiny little platform to balance it out, and I’m hopeful the whole “walking” business wouldn’t prove to be too much of a challenge. I mean, I’m ShoeperWoman after all: I’ve yet to meet the stiletto I couldn’t walk in…
As for the denim trim, well, it’s still not my favourite fabric to find on footwear, but it’s actually done pretty well, and and is fairly unobtrusive, so I’m willing to overlook it, too. Hell, I’d be willing to overlook pretty much anything, if it meant I got to wear this outfit for the night:
dress // bag // ring // lipstick // nail polishÂ
This Roland Mouret dress is new in at Net-a-Porter this week, and I couldn’t resist combining a dress by one of my favourite clothing designers with shoes by one of my favourite shoe designers! I love the fact that this dress is a very dark blue rather than black, too – just a little bit more forgiving against winter-pale skin!
