This is the kind of shoe Rene Caovilla excels at: delicate, feminine and oh-so-pretty. The barely-there feel of the lace, combined with the pretty little flowers winding their way up the foot combine to give these shoes a real vintage/fairytale feel: they’re the kind of thing you can imagine digging out of a satin-lined trunk in an old dusty attic, and then discovering they’d been worn by a princess, many years ago. Er, I’m getting a bit carried away here, aren’t I? What I’m trying to say is that these are beautiful, delicate and would make wonderful bridal shoes, don’t you think?

These are divine. I have loved RC since the very first time I saw their shoes, gold strappy sandals with ruby butterflies on them. This cherry blossom motif is so wonderful.
Seeing these shoes made me go fantasy wedding dress shopping! I would wear them with an ivory/champagne strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline on the bodice and a full 50’s lace skirt finishing just below the knee… and maybe some gold embroidery to match the beautiful shoes. Gorgeous! 🙂
