6 Things to Pretty Up Your Desk

7 ways to pretty up your desk

I know I’ve mentioned this a few times now, but I’m just a little bit addicted to stationery: I have drawers full of notebooks, pens, and other items, but no matter how much I have, it doesn’t seem to dampen my enthusiasm one bit, and there’s always just one more thing ready to catch my attention and beg me to buy it. I’m going to blame Instagram for this. Yes, I know it’s lame, but whereas before I’d have justified changes by saying, “Well, I don’t really need it, but I REALLY like it, so… I guess I’ll just buy it anyway?” – which is no justification AT ALL, obviously – these days I’m able to say, “Well, I don’t really need it, but it’ll look SO GOOD on Instagram!” And somehow that seems reasonable to me, even although it totally isn’t.

Anyway, this month saw an influx of amazing new stationery – plus random other items – at Shopbop, and I couldn’t help but add all of them to my wish list immediately. Well, at least I didn’t add them all to my BASKET, immediately, huh? That would’ve been MUCH worse. That’s the problem with stationery, though: most of the time it’s just affordable enough that you don’t feel like you’re being totally irresponsible by buying yourself that new pen, or whatever it is, but at the same time, all of those items add up: especially when you have a particular weakness for Kate Spade – and I think you all know by now that I DO have a particular weakness for Kate Spade, don’t you?

Here, then, are 7 items that have been begging me to buy them this month: either get them for yourselves, or get them for someone else – just, whatever you do, someone GET THEM, so I can no longer be led into temptation…
