New Look platform court shoes: lead me not into temptation…

I looked at the New Look website today. It was my first visit there in a while, and I swear, in my absence, they’ve obviously sat down, put their thinking caps on, and thought, “OK, how can we get Shoeperwoman to give us all her money?”

Well, here’s how they’re going to do it:

Red velvet bow court shoes, £25

I have these shoes in black patent. And in pink patent. So it’s safe to say that I love this style. Now here they are in red (And also in navy and pink velvet, if you’re interested). Wouldn’t a red pair be awesome? Wouldn’t they come in handy, especially for all of those winter-time Ruby Shoesdays I’m soon to be faced with? Yeah, that’s what I thought, too.

But then I saw these:

Navy bow suedette shoes, £25

Oh, NO. Still two weeks until pay day, and I’m expected to resist this? What kind of freak do you think I am, New Look? Huh?

(There’s a black version, too. New Look, I HATE you.)

High corsage platform shoes, £25

Yeah, yeah, very clever.

Leather stud platform, £30

Wouldn’t kick these out of the shoe closet either.

All of these were on the “New In” page. I didn’t look at the rest of the site. I didn’t dare. If I didn’t know better, I’d swear they were doing this just because they know I’m on a serious budget this month.

Oh, and Miss Selfridge are in on the “tempt Shoeperwoman” act, too. I mean, I resisted the red and grey versions of those oversized bow platforms, only for them to do this to me:

Polka dot platform shoes, £39

Looks like I picked the wrong month to go on a budget…

  • I just blogged about the navy suede ones! I was in New Look today and so many gorgeous shoes and I’m so incredibly poor right now. They have the top suede ones in so many colours at the moment, particularly a gorgeous purple. (I bought the patent ones in the sale though!)

  • I have been trying to find a replacement for my destroyed red shoes for a while and then the perfect ones appear when I have already over spent this month! And don’t get me started on the navy ones!

  • When I saw the navy ones on the New Look website I though ‘Hey, these are right up Shoeperwoman’s street, I’ll put money on her showing them on the blog.’
Then I get home and voila!
    You showed them.
You can never resist a nautical shoe can you? 😉
Those red velvet ones are particularly delicious too.
    Actually I want them all.
    New Look kills me.
So are you going to buy any?

  • Oh the pretties! Just my luck this spring and summer has been godly for shoes, and I have a freaking broken leg 🙁 And I’ve already bought 4 pairs of beautiful unworn stilettoes since breaking it :/ maybe 5 would be better..a nice round number
